YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Police Force never tolerates any violation against a police officer, Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan said Thursday, commenting on the recent kidnapping and beating of a police officer in Artik city.

“I tolerate no one, no occurrence, [such as] kidnapping a police officer, exerting pressure on the police officer. I also do not tolerate it if the police officer behaves in the same manner with a civilian,” Gasparyan stated.

In his words, the kidnapped officer is a “good police officer.”

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the said police officer was kidnapped by the close associates of Martun Grigoryan, an MP from the ruling coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party.
