A French participant of the European EuroMillions lottery has won a record jackpot of €250 million for the country.
FDJ United, the regulator of gambling in France, announced: "The jackpot of €250 million has been won." This is the maximum amount allowed by the rules of this lottery.
The winner guessed all seven numbers, including two special star numbers, and this enabled the lucky person to receive the main prize.
