YEREVAN. – The opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) is convinced that 10-15 National Assembly (NA) seats are the most they could receive in the upcoming parliamentary elections, Iravunk daily writes.   

“So, on the one hand, the ANC [political] party leaders, who already see themselves in NA, try to secure for themselves a transitory spot in the election list, and, on the other hand, [there are] the well-known ANC figures who do not represent a party. The party leaders say that if they were to join ANC as a party unit, that would have just been the [Armenian National Movement] ANM, and it would not have lead to anything. And the figures, which do not represent a party, bring their own facts: ‘What can you do? We are the ones securing the votes,’” Iravunk daily writes.
