YEREVAN. – Ruling coalition member Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) and off-parliamentary opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) may share constituency, expert on election technologies Armen Badalyan told the journalists on Tuesday.

“Neither PAP nor ANC have powerful resources to present strong candidates in 41 constituencies throughout the state. Thus, ANC should withdraw its candidate or support PAP and, on the contrary, PAP should withdraw its own and support ANC at those constituencies where victory of either candidate is more likely,” Badalyan believes.

“This, however, does not mean PAP is an opposition, it is just an alternative to the Republican Party of Armenia and an alliance to opposition, which can lead to more pragmatic goals.”

In his turn expert Karen Kocharyan considers PAP-ANC cooperation unreal.

“PAP is likely to be neutral. It will not of course act with the RPA and will hardly support the ANC. Thus, it will just maintain neutrality,” he said.
