Currently, the consideration of the application by Yelk alliance on invalidating the registration of the Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) for the participation in the upcoming elections is still underway at the CEC.

The march of Yelk alliance had kicked off from Moscow Cinema and reached the CEC building.

Introducing the application of the bloc, CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan noted that according to the document “during the pre-election campaign the school and kindergarten principals used the school and kindergarten property and took advantage of the fact that the students and parents depend on principals, thus violating the key principles of election campaign. The violations are quite significant, since they included the entire territory of the republic, being organized and massive in nature.”

Union of Informed Citizens NGO headed by Daniel Ioannisyan, which will conduct observation mission during the parliamentary elections, recorded various cases of use of administrative resources, in particular, over 100 school and kindergarten principals had drawn up voter lists in favor of the RPA.
