YEREVAN. – Just as before, Armenia considers it is indispensable to implement the agreements that were signed in 2016, in Vienna and Saint Petersburg.  

Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told the abovementioned to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia. He noted this when asked to comment on the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group co-chairs’ forthcoming visit Armenia.

Kocharyan recalled that the meeting in Vienna had reaffirmed the approach that unless there is trust between the parties to the Karabakh conflict, it is impossible to speak about a progress in the respective peace talks. 

He added that the Minsk Group co-chairs’ statement with respect to the latest incident, and in which Azerbaijan was noted as the provocateur, has recorded the reality.  

Also, the Armenian deputy FM said military actions along the line of contact cause concern among the intermediary countries, first and foremost, since Russia, the US, and France are UN Security Council members, and therefore they are accountable for peace at each and every corner of the world. 

“For that reason, they take steps to prevent instability, which, I believe, nobody needs in this region,” Shavarsh Kocharyan stated.
