Strong hail fell in Taron district of Vanadzor, the third largest city of Armenia, on Monday evening. According to the residents, the hail storm, which lasted for 5-10 minutes, caused considerable damage to orchards and vegetable gardens.

The hail didn’t fall in other parts of the city.

Head of the Lori Rescue Department of the Emergency Situations Ministry, Karen Hovhannisyan, noted that the Crisis Management Center of the province received no information regarding the hail storm on Monday.

The last report on the hails storm was received form Tsaghkashat community, where the damage is currently being assessed.
