Armenia’s law-enforcement authorities are having trouble finding Aram Harutyunyan since he has a good hiding place. This is what businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan, who is a victim in the case of Aram Harutyunyan, told journalists in court today. She had shown up at the examination of the appeal filed against reopening the case of Aram Harutyunyan.

“Three to four of the people in this case are out of the country, including Suren Avagyan and former director of Sevan Psychiatric Hospital Gagik Karapetyan. Police can’t find the major figure, Aram Harutyunyan. Everyone claims that he is in Armenia. I think police have to catch him quickly.”

When asked why police haven’t been able to find Harutyunyan yet, Hambardzumyan said she believes Harutyunyan has a good hiding place.

Touching upon the issue of bringing businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan to justice, the businesswoman voiced hope that this case is also resolved in the near future.

“Samvel Mayrapetyan is truly ill, and I think he will return to Armenia after undergoing treatment in Germany. I don’t doubt that he is ill,” she said.
