After the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan was made public, the situation in front of the Constitutional Court building has been escalated.

The second President’s supporters are congratulating the son of ex-president Levon Kocharyan, while opponents are express dissatisfaction, chanting different slogans for retreating supporters.

Opponents of the second president of Armenia said they were heading to the Prosecutor General.

“We have information that the Prosecutor General’s Office must now decide on whether the decision of the Constitutional Court will be implemented. We are going to the Prosecutor General’s Office, we will demand that the criminal of our country should not be released on the basis of the decision of the Constitutional Court,” opponent Jivan Abrahamyan said.

As reported earlier, after consideration of Armenia's ex-president Robert Kocharyan’s appeal against his arrest, the country's Constitutional Court ruled on Wednesday that his arrest was unconstitutional.

Kocharyan's petitions asked the court to declare unconstitutional two articles of the Code of Procedural Justice of Armenia: part 2 of Article 135 (defamation in public speaking) and Article 35 (preparation for the crime).
