There is a solution to the issue regarding the Constitutional Court, and the head of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia will make a statement in a couple of days. This is what deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly Kristina Poghosyan told reporters today.
The deputy also talked about President of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan. “I listened to Hrayr Tovmasyan’s interview yesterday and heard him talk about his honor and dignity, and I remembered when Hrayr Tovmasyan didn’t say a word when former deputy Armen Rustamyan crossed the line and offended Hrayr Tovmasyan’s manhood in parliament a couple of years ago. I would recommend Hrayr Tovmasyan to ask his lawyers and file a claim against Armen Rustamyan, even though I am certain that he will come and say the same things in court.”
When told that Hrayr Tovmasyan had said the authorities can’t decide if he is going to be the president of the Constitutional Court or not and that he represents a particular branch of power, Kristine Poghosyan said the following: “I would like to make it clear that he doesn’t represent any branch of power. As president of the Constitutional Court, he is making an illiterate statement and doesn’t even understand that the president of the Constitutional Court is not a representative of the judicial branch. The judicial branch is represented by the judicial council. Basically, he declared himself a person who is the head of a particular branch. Perhaps he wanted to show that he has seized that branch of power.”
