President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today had a meeting with President of Akcern Holding Hakob Baghdasaryan.
The parties exchanged views on the impact of the coronavirus on the real estate market, the current problems, as well as the potential hardships and the paths to overcome them. They also touched upon the impact that the laws that were recently adopted, particularly the law on making amendments and supplements to the Tax Code of Armenia may have on real estate and the population and businesses.
Baghdasaryan stated that he is familiar with the law, particularly President Sarkissian’s statement on the change of property tax rates, appreciated the President’s balanced approaches and stated that he shares his concerns. The interlocutors shared the view that the promotion of several significant sectors is significant during the current coronavirus situation, especially for the purpose of maintaining jobs and mitigating the social consequences of the pandemic.
