At Thursday’s special session of the outgoing National Assembly of Armenia, the MPs paid tribute to serviceman Samvel Alaverdyan who died near the border with Azerbaijan.
Alaverdyan, a contract soldier, was gravely wounded Wednesday by a shot fired from the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan, and he died on the way to the hospital.
