YEREVAN.- Armenian environmental activists who are holding a sit-in in one of the Yerevan parks had been banned by police to sit on their closed tents.
The police officers explain it by saying the activists may be hiding some illegal staff in their tents.
The scandal broke out on Wednesday evening when police took away the tent of the environmental activists.
One of the environmentalists Paruyr told the Armenian News-NEWS.amPo reporter that they had organized a march and would decide whether to spend the night in the park.
The police officers are guarding the park where activists gathered.
The Armenian environmentalists, who are demonstrating against the installation of kiosks at capital Yerevan’s Mashtots Park, announced they are starting a 24/7 sit-in at the Park on Monday.
