YEREVAN. – Parliament opposition powers may join and cooperate if they are eager to, however, artificial problems are an obstacle, Heritage group head Ruben Hakobyan said at a press conference on Monday.

According to him, opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) representatives did not approve his remarks regarding the government. Earlier, he said all Armenian governments are to blame for corruption and the situation in the country.

“They got hurt as they were in the office once or made part of it and now they are the opposition. ANC claims that everything was great before 1998 and afterwards decline started. Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) states the situation was catastrophic before 1998, while it became normal afterwards,” Hakobyan said.

Hence, the MP calls only by accepting the mistakes it will be possible to settle the problems and cooperate with the opposition powers.

“Politicians and political powers have the right for mistakes, however, strength is required to admit them and start to cooperate. Parliamentary oppositional powers may cooperate as they do have lots of serious politicians. Otherwise, all the efforts will be aimed only to taking revenge,” he added.
