YEREVAN.- Austria is interested in the development of cultural relations with Armenia, President Heinz Fischer said in Yerevan.

Fischer said he is satisfied with the current level of cooperation adding that the issues will be discussed during the meetings.

 “We want more convergence and collaboration in various fields,” he said expressing hope that Armenian-Austrian business forum will be a success.

“Armenia is the first Christian state which contributed to advancement of the Christian faith,” Fischer stressed. During his visit to Armenia, Fischer is also scheduled to meet with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
