YEREVAN. – Stable political relations are needed for the free agricultural market between Armenia and Georgia.

Economist, former Agriculture Deputy Minister Samvel Avetisyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, now, when Georgia’s vector is directed towards Europe and that of Armenia is aimed at the Russia-led Customs Union, Georgia may be forced to reduce its current trade relations with Armenia.

“This is the dumping of agricultural products, wherewith Turkey annexes the Georgian market from where it appears in Armenia.

“And Georgia may reduce the import of Armenian goods. That’s why I don’t believe that the cooperation will be ideally smooth, but it will not be [possible] without bilateral relations,” Avetisyan specifically said.
