A passenger train derailed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, killing more than 30 people and injuring 55 others. 

The train derailed near the city of Kamina in the country’s southeastern province of Katanga, local media reported.

But the death toll could rise because there may be people under the train wreckage, Rosbalt news agency reported citing BNO News.

The causes and circumstances of the accident are being determined.
