YEREVAN. – World's attention is on the town of Sinjar where genocide of Yazidis is being perpetrated in XXI century, and the reason is their worship, spiritual leader of Armenian Yazidis said.

Bro Gasanyan is convinced that Yazidi nation has fallen victim to the political and territorial interests of several people.

“This was organized by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and former president of Iraq Jalal Talabani,” Gasanyan believes.

The Yazidi nation hoped that spiritual leaders must take certain measures, but “spiritual leader of Yazidis left the people in the most difficult moment”.

“How can they exterminate people because of their religion? Of course, there were such cases in the history: genocide against Armenians because they were Christians, genocide against Jews by fascists. Now the Yazidi people are victims of the killers,” he emphasized.
