President of PACE Anne Brasseur stressed the need for contacts between the delegations of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Organization of such meetings is very very difficult, if not impossible, she said during a media conference on Monday.

Brasseur said her predecessor managed to have meetings between both delegations. She managed to have succeeded meetings, “but they refused to meet together in my office”.

“I want two delegations to talk to each other,” she told reporters, adding that it is more than difficult, but she will not give up.

In addition, PACE President said the question on Armenia and Azerbaijan, was a good opportunity to provide explanations on several media reports.

“Media reported that I said 'we should have a meeting between different communities in Azerbaijan.' I never said that,” Brasseur told reporters.
