YEREVAN. – According to reliable information Zhamanak daily received, an unusual incident occurred Tuesday night at Armenia’s Bagratashen checkpoint on the border with Georgia, the daily reported.
“The customs officers and the driver and passenger of a Toyota-model automobile, which was stopped for inspection, quarreled with each other. It resulted in mutual insults and shoving, also punches.
“The sides were managed to be broken up after police intervention. The participants in the dispute were detained at the Noyemberyan Department of the Police.
“The Police, in an interview with us, did not deny that an incident had occurred and there are detainees,” Zhamanak wrote.
