Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan visited Armenia’s Proshyan Brandy Factory today. He familiarized himself with the manufacturing possibilities and programs, as well as the volumes of brandy export.

Afterwards Abrahamyan held a consultation on the development of winemaking possibilities. 

The representatives of the winemaking company thanked the government for supporting the sector and presented certain problems, specifically relating to the facilitation of tax and customs administration, improvements of legal field, grape procurement, growing of new local and foreign varieties, etc. 

Summarizing the outcomes of the discussion, Hovik Abrahamyan said he will be consistent in the decision of each objective problem and liquidation of artificial obstacles.   

With this regard, Abrahamyan gave corresponding instructions to the heads of agencies, and urged the businessmen to present the raised questions to the Agriculture Ministry and actively cooperate with other ministries concerned.
