The former Polish Archbishop accused of sexual misconduct with minors, will stand trial in Vatican on Saturday.

Jozef Wesolowski is accused of sexually abusing minors in the Dominican Republic during 2008-13. Currently he is under house arrest in Vatican, BBC Russian service reports.

Wesolowski is also accused of possessing child pornography. Earlier this year he was defrocked.

If the 66-year-old clergyman is found guilt, he will face 10 years in prison.

The case against the former nuncio is considered as part of a campaign conducted by Pope Francis against the clergymen, engaged in sexual crimes.
