YEREVAN. - In the coming 5 years, Armenia’s Ministry of Health will implement the program “Control diabetes: Live healthy,” Armenia’s Minister of Healthcare Armen Muradyan said today in the parliament.  

The program will be designed for the carriers of type 1 diabetes below the age of 22. It is proposed to distribute insulinic pen-syringes to them.

Apart from this, it is planned to build 4 educational centers, where glycated hemoglobin analyzers will be installed. The centers will also get dipsticks.

Educational equipment approved by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) will also be installed in the centers.
