YEREVAN. - Armenia wants to withdraw the requirement of control stamps on insulin and narcotic drugs. Armenia’s Healthcare Minister Armen Muradyan said the aforementioned in the parliament today, introducing the bill on corresponding amendments to the Law on Trade and Services.

It is proposed not to apply the control stamps - which are put with the aim of registering the commodity turnover – to insulin, psychoactive and drug substances generally, as well as to inoculations for people not meant for retail sale.

These drugs are imported to Armenia in the framework of state programs, this sufficiently guaranteeing the quality and legality of the purchase, the Minister said.  Apart from this, many of these drugs, specifically the inoculations, must be kept in low temperature regime, while the laying of stamps may violate this, he said.
