President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Bako Sahakyan issued a decree awarding medals “For Courage” to the machinegunner, private of the NKR Defense Army Khachatur Baghdasaryan, and the grenade launcher operator, private of the NKR Defense Army Armen Manukyan.

On September 5 morning, along the line of contact between the NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces unprecedented violations of the ceasefire were committed. The Azeri side was intensively sniping at the Armenian positions in Hadrut, Martuni, Askeran, and Martakert. The NKR Defense Army’s retaliatory actions silenced the enemy. The NKR Defense Army did not suffer any losses.
