YEREVAN. – The straining of Russia-Turkey relations has made the biggest impact on our region; especially Azerbaijan is in a difficult situation.

Noravank Analytical Center Director, political scientist Gagik Harutyunyan, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday.

“The Azerbaijanis have written a petition to Russia; they protest against [Russian President Vladimir] Putin,” Harutyunyan said. “This gives us [i.e. the Armenian side] extra points, especially in the NKR [i.e. the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic]-linked matters in which the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] has a big impact.

“The situation has crystallized. We are in more advantageous situation; we have gathered some points on the [Karabakh] conflict issue.”
