ALEPPO. – An Armenian was killed in the terrorists’ shelling of the densely Armenian-populated Nor Kiugh (New Village, in Armenian) district of Aleppo, Syria. 

Aleppo resident Koko Kipichian (born in 1991) lost his life in the shelling, according to Kantsasar Armenian newspaper of Syria.

Several other Armenians were injured. 

Around 60 to 70 thousand Armenians lived in Syria before the start of the civil war in the country. More than half of these Armenians resided in Aleppo, the largest city in Syria, and the rest lived in capital city Damascus and several other towns.
