YEREVAN. - The Eastern Partnership remains one of the leading EU programs.

Polish Ambassador to Armenia Jerzy Marek Nowakowski told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent today.

According to him, the Eastern Partnership is one of the leading parts of the European Neighborhood Policy. And it will change, getting more individualistic toward specific countries, since three Eastern Partnership countries have signed an Association Agreement, while three of them haven’t, the Ambassador noted.

He also expressed hope that Armenia will sign the agreement with the EU in 2016. The mentioned agreement will be aimed at deepening cooperation, Mr Jerzy Marek Nowakowski said.

To the question whether the Eastern Partnership remains a priority for Poland as an program initiator, the Ambassador responded positively, noting that he thinks the new Polish government will attach more attention to the so-called Eastern policy of EU -cooperation with the eastern part of Europe – than the old one.

In near future the Eastern Partnership will also be one of the leading parts of Poland’s foreign policy, the Ambassador added.
