Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is not ready for any contacts with Turkey, according to Interfax news agency.

“Now, Russia is not at all ready to establish any contacts with the Turkish side,” he said.

Also, Peskov called on Turkey to do what should be in such a situation.

In November 2015, the Turkish air force shot down a Russian Su-24 attack aircraft/interdictor nearby the Turkish-Syrian border. The warplane was taking part in the antiterrorism operations in Syria. This incident led to the ongoing strain in Turkey-Russia relations.
