The international Brussels Airport will remain closed till Wednesday, March 30, the statement issued by the airport reads, RIA Novosti reports.

The Belgian media outlets earlier informed that if the test results are positive, the airport can resume its work already on Wednesday. However, instead of 5,000 passengers per hour, its acceptance rate will be reduced to 800 passengers per hour.

Two explosions occurred in the morning of March 22 at Brussels Zaventem airport. The Belgian prosecutor’s office confirmed that a suicide bomber had carried out this attack.

Shortly thereafter, there were more explosions in the Schuman and Maalbeek subway stations of the Belgian capital city.

According to latest information, these terrorist acts have claimed 32 lives and injured more than 340 people.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist acts.
