The United States began testing a sea craft , designed to search for submarines in the oceans, reports Informing citing the Associated Press. The unmanned ship called “Sea Hunter” for the first time will undergo a three-month testing with the crew on board. The security of  40 -meter unmanned ship will be provided by people. The ship can speed up to 27 nautical miles per hour. In total, as reported by the US defense department, the testing of the vessel will last for two years.

If results are successful, the US will create a fleet of similar unmanned ships. Although the creation of the ship costed $120 million, to build and run such a vessel will cost about $20 million  only.  It should be noted that experts of the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency developed the ship. As the project manager Scott Littlefield noted, the ship will not need to be controlled remotely in the future , since it will be  functioning independently.
