The NASA experts believe that this year’s star rain, which will fall in August, will be one of the brightest phenomena of the recent years. It is explained by the fact that the Earth will be moving through the thickest section of interplanetary materials left by the comet Swift–Tuttle. This time, instead of 80 we will see 150-200 falling stars per hour.

The star rain will last till August 24 , but the culmination of the stellar rain will be from August 12 to 13 . The stream of meteorites is formed as a result of the Earth’s movement through the particles released by the Swift–Tuttle. The comet approaches the Earth once in every 135 years. Last time it happened in 1992.
