Armenian Defense Minister should never rule out possibility of war, but taking into account present situation, hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone are unlikely to resume, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told NEWS.am.

According to him, provocations by the Azerbaijani side pursue a goal to present it as an ultimatum to the Armenian side and create tension over situation in the Karabakh conflict zone. “We have already proved that one should not present ultimatums to the Armenian side. We are not afraid of military blackmail,” he said.

Seyran Ohanyan stressed that international community should make critical assessment of Azerbaijan’s actions, as the latter is constantly violating ceasefire agreement. “International community should adhere to fair position on the issue and respond to any violation of ceasefire in the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Nagorno-Karabakh armed forces, even if it is initiated by the Armenian side. We are raising the question in the international agencies,” the Minister stated, adding that the Armenian side does not even think of violating the ceasefire regime.
