YEREVAN. - The Economy Ministry of Armenia continues discussing with Russian colleagues the possibility of organizing the trips of Russian tourists with national Russian ID.  

Head of the Tourism Department at the Economy Ministry of Armenia, Mekhak Apresyam, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Now the new possibilities of cooperation are being discussed with the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism Rosturizm, he added.

“We told our Russian colleagues about the idea of trips with domestic ID cards. Now they are discussing that idea,” Apresyan said.

Back in September 2015, head of the State Migration Service of Armenia, Gagik Yeganyan, stated about Armenia’s readiness to receive Russian citizens without foreign passport.

During his visit to Yerevan on April 7, Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev stated that the Russian Government is ready to implement the initiative of the Armenian side.
