U.S. President elect Donald Trump may in virtue of his eccentric behavior use the word 'genocide' instead of the accepted term 'Meds Yeghern.'
Turkologist Ruben Melkonyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.
In his words, Donald Trump is most likely to use the word 'genocide' in one of his speeches, but this won't change the official position of the U.S. on the Armenian Genocide. ''Trump is quite an eccentric person but he is also an entrepreneur who has an understanding of real interests, in this case in regard to Turkey and Azerbaijan,'' the expert said.
According to Melkonyan, proceeding from this, Trump’s policy in regard to the Genocide will adhere to the position of preceding American leaders.
