YEREVAN. – The situation at the Upper Lars checkpoint should be closely followed, Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, stated at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

He noted this addressing Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technology, Vahan Martirosyan.

Considering the current pile-up of vehicles at this checkpoint—on the Georgian-Russian border—due to heavy snowfall, Karapetyan instructed the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technology to continue maintaining intensive contacts with its Georgian and Russian associates.
