YEREVAN.  - The criminal case launched into the death of Gor Tumoyan, 21, in a garage on Yerevan’s Baghramyan Avenue on the night of 16 June 2015 has been suspended, the press-service of the Investigative Committee of Armenian informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to the Investigative Committee, on 16 June 2015, No 1 Hospital informed them that the body of a young man with a lacerated wound on his face was brought to them. The young man was identified as Gor Tumoyan, 21.

He had suffered the fatal injury as a result of the blast after his Nissan caught fire in the garage.

Criminal case was launched under Articles 185 (1) and (2) (3) of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Various expert examinations were commissioned. According to the results, an open source of fire—a match, lighter, etc.—caused the car to burn in the garage. Considering the fact that there were highly flammable matters in the car, the car caught fire and blasted.  As per the expert examination, the point of origin was in the rear part of the car.  However, the case was suspended, the possible criminal not having been identified.

Earlier, the victim’s mother stated that she suspects her brother-in-law and his son of committing the crime.
