The member of the Kenyan Parliament Mishi Mboko urged women not to fulfill their "marital duty," unless their husbands are registered for voting, reports BBC.

"Women, you need to follow this strategy. It is the best. Ignore them as long as they haven’t shown you their voter card, " she said. "Sex is a powerful weapon and can make people rush to register for elections." Registration will begin on February 17.

According to the source, calls for boycotting sex in Kenya are quite common. In 2009, women activists had already made such a strike, in order to bring together the supporters of the President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
