YEREVAN. – A protest action organized by the MPs was held near the embassy of Belarus in Yerevan as a sign of protest against extradition of Israeli-Russian blogger Alexander Lapshin.

MP Nikol Pashinyan read out a statement by “Way Out” bloc that initiated a protest action. The statement called on Armenian authorities to recall Armenia’s ambassador from Belarus and to freeze diplomatic relations with Minsk.

Leader of Bright Armenia party Edmon Marukyan told reporters that it is the most dangerous precedent over the last 25 years.

“We condemn the unfriendly act of Belarus,” he said.
