STEPANAKERT. – The Azerbaijani side is attempting to distort the events of the last night presenting Artsakh as “an aggressor”, but the facts tell a different story.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, between 3 and 4 a.m. on the night of February 25, the adversary, using special equipment, tried to attack in the eastern and south-eastern directions. In their statement Azerbaijani forces, as usual, tried to attribute their actions to the Artsakh side.

In particular, the military leadership of Azerbaijan issued a statement, saying that allegedly Karabakh Armed Forces “wanted to improve their position by launching an offensive.” At the same time the Azerbaijani side did not forget to mention that as a result of “defensive actions” they suffered losses.

“We declare that this narrative is not true. Moreover, the question is:  how the bodies of ‘defending soldiers’ can be in the neutral zone? Azerbaijani propagandists have to answer the question,” the Karabakh army said in a statement.
