YEREVAN. – The “Survey for Seismic Protection” Agency of Armenia recorded a magnitude-3.4 earthquake in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), on Monday at 10:24am local time.

The epicenter of the tremor was 28 km northeast of Karvachar town. 

The hypocenter of this quake was 10 km beneath the surface.

The seismic activity measured magnitude 4-5, at the epicenter.

The earthquake was felt in the northern Artsakh settlements of Dadivank village, where it measured magnitude 3-4, and in Karvachar, where it measured magnitude 2-3.

In addition, a magnitude-2 aftershock was registered at 10:29am.
