Leaders of 27 EU countries signed a declaration on EU’s future after Brexit. The declaration is the main outcome of the summit dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, RIA Novosti reported.

The summit took place in the Campidoglio palace where the six founding states signed the Treaty of Rome, March 25, 1957.

The statement reflects vision of future union in all spheres.

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo only agreed to sign the declaration at the last minute, after bitterly opposing a reference to a "multi-speed" Europe favoured by powerhouse states France and Germany, AFP reported.
