The US Senate ratified Montenegro’s application to access the NATO, reports the Voice of America. 97 senators voted in favor of the ratification, and 2 against.
The supporters of NATO enlargement believe, that Montenegro has already done enough for the US and the alliance to show its support. The US is one the three countries of NATO whose formal support will allow the Balkan state to join NATO.
