NATO countries have adopted national programs on investing 2 percent of GDP on defense, said Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, during the final press conference of the NATO summit in Brussels.

He added that the 28 NATO members had agreed to establish a new terrorism intelligence cell at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Also, Stoltenberg noted that NATO was to expand its support to the US-led coalition, which is fighting ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

“This will send a strong political message of NATO’s commitment to the fight against terrorism,” stated the NATO Secretary General. “But it does not mean that NATO will engage in combat operations.”
