Armenian Ambassador to Iran Artashes Tumanyan paid a visit to Mazandaran province of Iran on July 15-16.

There he met with Governor Falah Rabi Jaladura, Deputy Governor Hasan Kheirianpuri and a number of other officials.

At the meetings, reference was made to a number of issues on the Armenian-Iranian relations, the Press, Information and Public Relations Department of the Armenian MFA informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The Armenian Ambassador presented the peculiarities of the Armenian economy, the business environment of the country, as well as the opportunities of implementing joint programs between the Armenian and Iranian economic operators.

In the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Mazandaran, Ambassador Tumanyan met with the representatives of the business circles of the province. Iranian entrepreneurs were provided with comprehensive information on the business environment and free trade zones of Armenia, the investment policy of the country and ongoing projects, development of tax and bank, transport, energy and other  infrastructure system, as well as the branches of economy declared as prioritized by the state (IT and telecommunication, renewable energy, agriculture, mining, tourism, etc.).

Ambassador Tumanyan also visited a number of enterprises of Mazandaran.

During his visit Artashes Tumanyan also has a meeting with the representatives of the Armenian community of the central Sari city of the province, during which he got familiarized with the issues of the community. 

Upon the request of the meeting participants, Tumanyan referred to the Armenian-Iranian relations and the prospects for their development.
