Turkey has cut its oil imports from the Iraqi Kurdistan Region by 60 percent.

Prior to the holding of the referendum on the independence of Iraqi Kurdistan, 600 thousand barrels of oil were arriving at Port Ceyhan of Turkey; but this amount has now reduced to 225 thousand barrels, according to Cumhuriyet (Republic) daily of Turkey.

It is noted that 90 percent of Iraqi Kurdistan’s income comes from the sale of oil.
