YEREVAN. –Turkey will retain its military presence in Syria, the associate professor at the Yerevan State University, specialist in Arab studies Araks Pashayan told reporters on November 15.

According to her, Ankara will retain its military presence in the north of Syria. The recent Turkish-Russian talks were aimed at reaching agreements on Syria. 

Pashoyan noted that Turkey, at least for now, agrees that Russia will retain its military presence in Africa, adding that Ankara is sure that if the Russian mission leaves Africa, Turkey will easily manage to take control over this Syrian region.
