YEREVAN. – The transport system of Yerevan is constantly being reviewed and confirmed, head of the Armenian Consumers' Association Armen Poghosyan told reporters on November 28.

The review of transport system is completely pointless, noted Poghosyan.

“According to statistics, the number of road accident victims reached the highest level on record in 2008, when 407 people died.  A number of victims has been declining since 2008,” Poghosyan said, adding that the number of road accident victims had not dropped below 290 people per year, which is much more than Armenian losses at the line of contact.

According to Poghosyan, this is connected with the incompetent organization of the road transport system in general.
