YEREVAN. – The main advantage of the customs code of the Eurasian Union is that it is based on the e-government model, deputy chairman of Armenia’s state revenue committee Vakhtang Mirumyan said in the parliament on Tuesday.

Mirumyan explained that adoption of the customs code would significantly reduce expenditures for business.

 “Back in December 2016 we introduced an electronic version of the request for customs value, and as early as mid-2017 - an electronic version of the customs declaration,” Mirumyan explained, adding that in this way any legal entity will be able to obtain the appropriate code and submit electronic application.
