The Orinats Yerkir party considers that one of 2010 achievements is a 23 bn AMD assistance sent for recovery of the 1988 earthquake zone, Heghine Bisharyan, head of the Orinats Yerkir parliamentary group, told NEWS.am summing up year’s results. Assistance enabled over 1000 families to get apartments, she added.
She hailed positive that the program aimed at rebuilding the earthquake zone will continue in 2011, adding that $27 bn AMD budget funds will be provided. Bisharyan also pointed out the housing loan program for young families. “The Government has invested about 3 bn AMD, which will enable about 300 young families to purchase houses,” Bisharyan noted.
As to foreign policy, Bisharyan considered an achievement that international community’s position on Karabakh in many aspects coincided with the Armenian one.
“However, there is a number of neglects basically in the social and economic fields,” she noted, pointing out unprecedented increase in inflation rate.
